Mindfulness Meditation will help you develop self-acceptance, inner wisdom, clarity, compassion and loving-kindness.
In this class series you will: – Learn core meditation practices that will help you be mindful of your body, heart and mind so that you can be more present and at ease. – Develop a calmer state of mind and be more clear in your interactions with others. – Nurture yourself through self-care and the practice of loving-kindness. – Heal the body-mind and reduce pain through deeper reflection and self-compassion. – Uncover inner wisdom and build an inner guidance system so that you can make the best decisions for yourself in your life.
You will get guidance and support for your meditation practice so you know that you’re doing it right. You’ll get individualised feedback and help so that you can get the most out of your meditation practice. Week by week you’ll build and develop your practice through learning tools and techniques that will deepen your meditation practice so that you experience a calmer state of mind and greater ease in your body. You’ll learn how to manage overwhelm and stressful situations so that you feel more in control in your life and at peace.
Class 1: Introduction to Meditation – Learn about effective attitudes, optimal environments, timing and body postures for meditation.
Class 2: Focusing the Mind – Explore using different anchors for your meditation practice so that you can more easily focus the mind.
Class 3: Body Awareness – Bring awareness to felt sensations in the body so that you can develop self-awareness and self-care.
Class 4: Mindfulness of Emotions – Connect with your emotions and nurture feelings of compassion, loving-kindness and care.
Class 5: Mindfulness of Thoughts – Reflect and be more mindful of your thoughts so you can manage stressful thoughts and beliefs.
Class 6: RAIN practice – Learn a mindfulness practice that will help you ease suffering and better deal with challenging life situations.
Class Fee: $40 per class or $216 for the full programme. Day and Time: Weekly on Tuesdays 9-10.30am/Wednesdays 7.30-9pm (July 23rd to August 28th)
